Yoni Yoga for the Winter Solstice

** FULLY BOOKED **

An afternoon of Yoni Yoga – a joyful coming home to yourself!

For all women…a woman only afternoon to celebrate Yule, the winter solstice and nourish us from the inside out. At the winter solstice we reach the depth of darkness with the longest night of the year; darkness has reached its peak. Now we might start to wonder whether the light will ever return?

But at Yule a wonderful thing happens; the sun stops its decline and for a few days it rises in the same place and doesn’t go any further south. This is a crucial time, the cusp between events, like the depth of the exhalation, will the light keep its promise and return, will the breath come again?

As the outer world is darkened by the shorter days so our inner realm can expand into this place of not knowing and yet knowing. Like the dark night of the moon and the moment before our own cycle begins again, there is much to be gained if we can settle into this space, one of the Crone and her connection to wisdom, insight and intuition.

Together we will join in sacred circle, to settle into the darkness and explore more of our inner landscape and its wisdom, while also celebrating the impending return of the light again. This was an important moment in our Celtic past; Stonehenge, Newgrange and even our La Varde stand testament to this and I would be delighted if you’d joined me in ceremony to the goddess and sacred earth to celebrate.

With a beautiful central altar dedicated to the Goddess, with candles flickering and gentle music playing, this session will weave together a combination of gentle movement (postures) focused on the sacral and heart chakras, mudras (gestures), enquiry (bring a journal), breath awareness (in various ways) and Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation). Reiki will be shared where possible.

There will be the opportunity for Goddess cards after the class. This is a truly wonderful way to connect more fully to the energy of sacred earth celebrations and to your goddess nature.
