ABOUT KUNDALINI YOGA

The basics of Kundalini Yoga are asanas, mudras, bhandas (energy locks), and mantras (sound currents). The classes are a dynamic blend of postures that are either repetitive or held for a specific amount of time, supported with pranayama and mantra and there is always a meditation and deep relaxation at the end. The Kundalini Energy, which lies dormant at the base of our spine, is the life force of the universe. Awakened, it is creation in motion. Through the use of breath, movement and sound we can indeed awaken this powerful energy within and the benefits of this yoga are plentiful. It strengthens all of our internal body systems - glandular system, nervous system, lymphatic and digestive system as well as balancing all of our chakras. It is healing, mentally & physically, giving you an immense sense of well-being, openness and aliveness. It can strengthen your core energy, your focus and your concentration capacity. Your entire being can feel more balanced, helping you to communicate more effectively and supporting you in making the right choices in your life.
