Take a Pause with Yoga: Free the Mind!

The breath can teach us so many things, but the part that excites me the most is the magic that it brings, in the pause between the inhalation and exhalation, as it shifts from one way of being to another, just like that!

Sometimes a pause is all we need to shift our mind-set and therefore our experience and perception of reality, to see things differently, to gain a fresh perspective, to experience a moment of much needed clarity, to recharge and re-energise, to let go of something outdated, to feel a lot more positive about life, or to just take some time to be, for example.

If you fancy taking a pause in your life, giving the mind a break from all the thinking, then come and join me and let the magic unfold as we seek to deepen our experience of yoga, beyond, and yet including the asana (postures), helping to free our mind and our lives in the process!

Yoga is all about ceasing the fluctuations of the mind and this session will help you embody that for yourselves!

Spaces are limited so that you can expect more individual attention.

The session will look a little bit like this:

9:00am

Arrive in silence and settle into a comfortable seated position

9:00 - 9.30 am

Settling, pranayama (breathing exercises) and seated silent meditation

9.30 – 11.40am

Asana – active class incorporating sun salutations and standing postures to prepare the body to explore backbends and inversions, perhaps using the walls, before forward bends, perhaps with partners, all depending on the group energy.

11.40 - 12:00pm

Yoga Nidra - deep guided relaxation, taking you to another place deep within and nourishing you from the inside out.
