A yoni yoga class to celebrate the Autumn Equinox
The Autumnal Equinox brings with it a change in the earth’s energy as we transition into the darkness of the winter season. It’s a time for balancing, reconciling and celebrating opposites, seeing them as part of the whole – the active and the receptive, the inner world and the outer world, the light and the dark, the fortunes and misfortunes, the young self and the old self. Let’s celebrate it all, the good and the bad, as we also honour the changing season and the harvest it brings, appreciating all Mother Earth has provided since Spring.
A Tantric practice for the women, we’ll join in circle around a central altar to the goddess, following nature’s lead, weaving together asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), mudra (hand gestures), mantra (sound) and relaxation, we’ll slip out of time and encourage a retreating inwards, balancing, nourishing, nurturing and re-connecting with our heart and our innate knowing and wisdom as the light now wanes.
Open to all women, no prior experience required.
